DoP Piers Leigh shot this cool timelapse on Stereoscape’s previous stereo shoot. It shows pretty nicely the P+S Technik 3D rig and me working with it :)

We can now make unencrypted DCP-packages that ingest properly for example in Finnkino’s DCP-servers! This service compliments our workflow very well, since we can post-produce a stereoscopic footage in house, make the dcp and go see it in a local cinema with proper viewing conditions :)

Our service is geared mainly for short 5-15min indie movies, since making feature DCP’s would essentially require a hardware solution. It’s also priced for short indies and the likes, we have no intent to compete with big post houses. Our DCP service would also be a great option bundled with our stereoscopic post-production services, since there would be no need to move the data between us and the post-house. We can of course make also traditional 2D DCP’s.

Been busy as usually…

I’m prepping a stereoscopic scifi short film as the Director of Stereography, scheduled to be shot this summer. We are shooting a teaser for it in the end of the March with dual Red rig. We are also shooting some timelapse plates with DSLR’s. It’s quite challenging project including loads of cgi and compositioning, all in stereo. I don’t know if I have the liberty to say more yet :-)
